Description
Virtual Volunteer is the official parkrun timer and scanner application and it is free to download for volunteers to use at parkrun events.
It is easy to use with a very simple interface.
Scanner and timer data can be submitted directly to parkrun using a QR code supplied by the Run Director on the day.

Does the job
Feature request: allow users to volunteer directly from the app. Allow them to choose event, date and preferred role, the app can then send off a pre-filled email.
Is good but
The timer is great and I’m sure it’s 100% for most people. However I would suggest adding a capture sound and vibration so that the user can be more certain they’ve got each runner. This would be especially useful for those with impairments. Understandably there is often a lot of sound, activity and distractions going on at the finish line. Keep up the great work

Hi,
Sound and vibration have been features of the app since it's release. However if your sound was turned off neither will work. The next version of the application will use haptic feedback which will work with sound turned off.

Good but could me more
Feature requests… 1. Store participant digital barcode 2 Ability to fix any errors before uploading e.g Accidental double times etc e.g Barcode scanning errors 3. Validate that position or participant has not been scanned already to avoid duplicates 4. Allow times or barcodes to be edited in the view files section on WebFMS before going into the process results screen as once they are merged it’s painful if there’s big errors to fix.
